The Walking Dead Returns

ZTATE OF THE UNDEAD ADDRESS: Season 7 Première of The Walking Dead | #SpoilerAlert

If you haven’t watched the Season 7 première of The Walking Dead yet, stop reading. If you continue to read and something is spoiled for you, you’ve done so at your own peril and I accept no responsibility for it. Consider yourself warned…

watch-walking-dead-season-6-860x450So last night saw the première of the long awaited 7th season of The Walking Dead on AMC. For the past 10 months, there’s been lots of discussion and supposition on the inter-webs about who was going to get the business end of Lucille.

From the end of the last season, I’d always expected it was going to be Abraham and Glenn, with possibly a third person meeting a horrific end. God, do I ever hate being right!!

It was a hard episode to watch because we lost such colourful and ultimately likeable characters. While they may be gone, they never will be forgotten.

Now that we look forward to the rest of the season, is there anyone else you think may not make it to see the start of Season 8?

Spotlight Saturday: The Walking Dead’s Return

Okay you Zombieholics! The Walking Dead returned last week and I would love to hear all of your thoughts on the episode…

**If you haven’t watched the episode, stop reading now**

Personally, I enjoyed the chance to delve into Michonne’s character a little deeper and learn some of her background. It makes many of her choices and her motivation much of the time a little easier to understand. And I loved that you could see her story arc come full circle.

The Rick and Carl story line was still good, but its what we see from them most of the time. Rick asserting his rule as the father and Carl rebelling against it. I will admit there were a few moments I thought Rick might have died from his injuries, until I remembered that he’s likely one of the only characters that is ‘hands off’. Now Carl on the other hand, I don’t think I would have been so upset had he been bitten… Though it would make it crazy for Rick to have woken up and not found Carl in the house!! Imagine him trying to search the neighbourhood for him, only to find his consumed body, or better yet, his little walking undead corpse. (All thoughts aside, I don’t dislike Carl, but his attitude really sucks sometimes! I hope what he had to go through—almost losing his dad and being completely alone—gives him a little maturity and a lot more perspective!)

Head on over to AMC to take a look at the sneak peek for the next episode!
